Successful sculpture wants his work better represented on the web
Brief: Big images/minimalism design/unified look/good usability
What Luke wanted
Luke is a highly skilled portrait sculpture who felt his website had become out of date. His was a complex brief because he offers several services and the selling of them needed to be clear and free from clutter.
The site is too big to show it all but below you will find a number of screenshots to help give you an idea of how we handled some of the issues.
We converted the majority of the photos to B&W to help give more visual uniformity and also used some very large images sacrificing some speed in return for benefits of the visual impact they offered which seemed to strike an appropriate balance in this case.
Luke worked with me to ensure I had a large selection of images to work with and the collaborative effort resulted in a website he feels better represents the quality of his work.
